Couples Therapy
Are you and your partner are stuck in in painful cycles of disconnection, fighting, and resentment? Our therapists can help you and your partner to change negative patterns and develop stronger connection and understanding of each other through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT is an evidence-based couples therapy model aimed at strengthening or repairing relationship bonds and building more security and connection between partners. Research shows that 70-75% couples who complete EFT move from distress to recovery, and 90% of couples show significant improvement. Through our work together, you will learn to stop your negative cycles from controlling your relationship, and restore trust, intimacy, and safety.
We offer warm, open, and validating space for you and your partner to engage in conversations to build, repair, or renew your relationship. The couples counseling sessions typically occur weekly and last 50-60 minutes. During the session, we help you and your partner connect to the feelings and experiences in your relationship, make sense of them together, and to share your feelings and needs with each other in a non-blaming way. We work together to break through your cycle of disconnection and conflict by having you practice more vulnerable conversations during the sessions that promote greater bond between you and your partner. Through relentless empathy, we help you feel seen, heard, and understood. As you feel more connected with your partner, you can find effective solutions to life problems together.

We work together to explore your strengths as well as places that keep you stuck. We help you get in touch and make sense of your feelings, thoughts, and actions in your relationships and to gain more agency and flexibility in your life. We help you gain deeper understanding of your patterns at the same time as we work to change these patterns by bringing behavioral changes to your life.
